Based on the feedback we’re getting from member companies, more and more of their clients are insisting that sign fitters have a valid CSCS card before they can work on their sites… some have actually been refused entry to sites because they don’t have the appropriate card! So, if you haven’t got your CSCS card, now might just be the time to get one.
If you’re looking for a quick run down on what you need to apply for a CSCS card as a Sign Installer checkout the following links to the Legislation section of the BSGA web site: Guide to the application process Quick reference guide For background information on the CSCS scheme or if you need to download an application form go to the CSCS Web Site Cheers Albert |

If anyone was in doubt about the need to have a CSCS card – or you think I made up the story about the feedback we’re getting from members – take a look at this CSCS Newsletter
The report contains some very interesting statistics • On average 20,000 new cards are issue per month • The millionth card was issued in May 2007 • The new CDM Regulations stipulate that checks should be made on the heath and safety awareness of contractors • The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) require that anyone working on their sites should hold a CSCS Card If you haven’t got one, you really need to think seriously about getting one… and you don’t have to take my word for it.
