“Nine award categories are now fully sponsored and, in addition, 3M have stepped forward as the corporate sponsor for the whole event,” said David Catanach, Director of the BSGA.
“We launched the awards in order to highlight and acclaim the outstanding achievements of UK sign businesses but without the sponsors the awards would have remained a dream. We are grateful to them for their support of the awards and the UK sign industry.”
In addition to 3M, the sponsors now include Metamark (Small Signmaker award), Vink Lighting Solutions (Illuminated Sign award), Soyang Europe (Wide Format award), William Smith (Vehicle Graphics award), Complete CNC Solutions (Retail Sign award), Nationwide Platforms (Roll-Out Programme award) , Decor Directions (Interior Sign award), 3M Tapes and Adhesives (Sign Construction award) and Vink Digital Signage (Digital Project award).
In addition, Signs Express is sponsoring the Product of the Year category.
Two categories – Architectural Sign and Wayfinding Scheme – are still available for sponsorship.
The winning entry in each category will go forward to the final judging for the ultimate prize – the 2014 Sign of the Year.
Entry for the awards is open to all UK sign businesses (membership of the BSGA is not a requirement) and is free. Judging will be by an independent panel.
“Winning one of the awards is a major accolade and experience indicates that winning can contribute significantly to the future success of a business,” said David Catanach. “We would encourage every sign maker in the UK that has produced work they are proud of to enter for one or more of the awards.”
