PROTEK UNICO TT WITH AUTOMATED CONVEYOR ANNOUNCED

Complete CNC Solutions has just announced that the flagship digital cutter from Protek, the Unico TT, is now available with a production conveyor system…*

The Protek Unico TT, with or without an automated conveyor, is notable among flatbed digital cutters and print finishing systems because it offers production calibre routing in one and the same package.

The system is available in a range of sizes and is capable of powering its way through production workloads that would overwhelm many fully dedicated production routing systems.

The Protek Unico TT meets the capabilities of all other digital cutters head-on. It has an integrated vision system for managing print-cut registration automatically and to very tight tolerances. It has tools for creasing heavy materials and it has knives, both static and oscillating, in addition to V cutters for producing inner mitres in thick and thin materials.

Other smart features on the Unico TT include a depth sensor system for mapping the printed and unprinted materials the system cuts. By using this system, flat materials that vary in thickness as most do, can be cut, carved and engrave to consistent depths.

Most digital cutters feature a spindle for routing and engraving operation but it’s usually too light to manage anything other than occasional jobs within the scope of its limited abilities. The Protek Unico TT digital cutter has something much more powerful in the engine room and so can cope with machining the heaviest and most challenging material and with the biggest routing workloads.

With the new Conveyor Option specified, the Unico TT adds production calibre high volume print finishing to its long list of capabilities. The conveyor greatly enhances operator productivity and increases the potential of the basic system’s automated indexing and registration systems. Using the conveyor, an operator can handle increased print / cut and profiling volumes with ease and speed.

Having two fully featured systems for routing and print cut work in one and the same machine, together with productivity enhancing automated hardware suggests the the Protek Unico TT would be a very expensive proposition. It’s not, according to Complete CNC Solutions. The system is evidently less expensive than many digital cutters that can only manage print-cut work in lighter materials and which have no production routing capability.

As with all claims made on behalf of production hardware, the ones made for the new Protek Unico TT Conveyor are best put to the test. Complete CNC Solutions offers bespoke personal demonstrations for that reason at its HQ in the South West. Just get in touch and arrange to put the Unico TT though its paces with your work.
