Spandex transforms façade of its Bratislava office

Ordinary looking building turned into fairy-tale cottage in seven hours – see the video below.

Spandex, the one-stop supplier of leading brands for graphic solutions, has wrapped the entire façade of its Bratislava office using Arlon DPF 8000 Wall Wrap digital material. The chosen print was that of an old style cottage with thatched roof which makes the building stand out within the business park. The video of the transformation can be viewed at the Spandex You Tube channel youtube.com/spandexcom

Arlon DPF 8000 is an industrial high tack film designed to adhere to ‘hard-to-stick’ and low energy surfaces. It’s ideal for indoor and outdoor wraps on brick, concrete and other rough surfaces. “The work started at 8:40am on 7th May 2014 and by 3:40pm the wrap was complete. This quick transformation is due to the combination of excellent material and highly skilled applicators” comments Leon Watson, General Manager, Spandex UK.

Local sign making and digital print company Blos s.r.o. that specialises in signage and wrapping applications carried out the job. Jozef Skalak, Blos Director comments: “The wall wrap application for Spandex was a good opportunity to test our skills using the unique Arlon DPF 8000. It was our largest application with paneling totaling an area of 45 m². As per previous experience with Arlon material the DPF 8000 was very easy to apply and work with.” The fixation on some very textured surfaces was a little challenging but the result was excellent.”
