Signmaking - the Business and Learning Model
Developing a standard, industry relevant approach to training: Walsall College has established a number of partnerships with business and organisations representing the sign making industry to promote develop and deliver training within the sector that meets industry standards and provides national qualifications as well as developing skills of those currently within the industry. The aim of these partnerships is to develop a standard, industry relevant approach to training, which will help improve the skill set of professionals across the sector.

Student Exchange Visit
Leeds College of Building have established a close relationship with a college in Essen, Germany, and each year run a student exchange programme. During last years visit to Leeds, students from Essen spent a very enjoyable day in the colleges new sign making facility, during which they even managed to produce a sign..

Membership Development
As an association we must always be aware that we exist for the benefit of our members and, with this in mind, Council have established a Membership Development Working Group.

Weve reached the end of another edition of the Newsletter and, as Im sure you will appreciate, it can at times be a bit of a struggle to find interesting news items, at least thats my excuse, so this is a call for help.
