Director: Job Description

Job title: Director

Main purpose:
To manage & develop the British Sign and Graphics Association on behalf of its members

Scope of the job:
Responsible for all of the activities of the Association

Responsible to:
BSGA Council

Accountabilities and duties:
1.
Managing the day to day activities of the Association
2.
Promoting the Association to existing and potential members
3.
Providing signposting of technical advice and support for members
4.
Providing a secretarial service for the Association’s council and committees
5.
Carrying out formal vetting procedures on prospective members
6.
Carrying out the role of Company Secretary and ensuring annual accounts are produced
7.
Ensuring budgets and management accounts are provided to Council
8.
Representing the Association at exhibitions and conferences
9.
Supporting, developing and promoting the training activities of the Association
10.
Providing secretarial facilities to the European Federation (EVL).

Basic accounting knowledge

Experience & interests:
Relevant to job, competences, achievements, level, progression etc


Experience of running
all or part of an organisation

sign industry knowledge

Domestic, location, working week, shifts etc.


Normal office hours unless travelling, based in Peterborough
