3M special effect solutions from William Smith

As the largest stockist of 3M and Ritrama materials, trade-only supplier William Smith remains at the forefront of available resources for special effect sign and graphic solutions.

Now William Smith has been appointed as the official UK stockist of the groundbreaking range of DI-NOC surface finish films from 3M.The company is currently stocking 50 of the most popular products in a roll width of 1,220mm and a roll length of 12m.

DI-NOC supplements the special effect solutions provided by 3M’s Fasara and Scotchcal Series 7725 Special Effect Films. These include Dusted and Frosted Crystal Films designed for use in the creation of window graphics and internally illuminated displays applied to flat, clear surfaces.

The 3M translucent Dusted and Frosted Crystal Films are characterised by their dimensional stability, low-gloss quality to eliminate glare and by their uniform colour when subjected to both reflected and transmitted light.

They are available ex-stock in a choice of Blue Mint, Rose, Gold and Light Blue in a roll size of 1,220mm x 45.72m. The 3M Scotchcal Dusted Crystal Film Series 7725-314 has the uniform appearance of etched glass, while the Frosted Crystal Films 7725-323, -324, -326 and -327 provide a uniform appearance of sandblasted glass.

Alternative glass decorative solutions from Ritrama are also available from William Smith. Tough and dimensionally stable translucent polyester films intended for use in the creation of window graphics and internally-illuminated displays, 3M Fasara films provide a range of glass decorative effects (including acid-etched, sandblasted and woven and marble-effect rice paper formats) and can block up to 99 percent of UV light to comprehensively reduce fade on fabrics. The low gloss quality of the films also reduces glare, whilst application of the films to glass surfaces minimises the effects of flying glass in the event of breakage, to increase the films’ contribution to personal safety.

3M Fasara Films are currently available in 11 patterns (four in stock and seven on longer lead times) in a roll size of 1,220mm x 45.72m and covered by 3M’s MCS (Matched Component System) warranty for up to five years.
