1. The Perspex Sign of the Year
Bibis Criterion Restaurant, Leeds by Ashleigh Signs
A genuine work of art. The hand-crafted art deco figure coated in cosmic chrome stands on a flower petal motif created from flat cut and then shaped stainless steel. The lettering of the logo is built-up black effect titanium coated stainless steel. Special lighting includes green, blue and white LEDs plus a special sweeping searchlight effect trained on the statue. Quite literally a brilliant example of the sign makers craft.

2. The Sign Update Wayfinding Project of the Year
Visitor Information for the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park by ESP Technologies.
ESP in partnership with The HB Sign Company produced over 250 full colour bespoke signs for use throughout the 700 square miles of the park. The rich mix of graphics and photography on such a wide variety of signs was genuinely impressive.

A fully DDA compliant scheme. Excellent design provides total clarity.

3. The Foamalite Interior Sign of the Year and the BPS Sign Design Award
Signage Scheme for the London Aquarium by Signbox Ltd
Signbox created a scheme which fits perfectly into the environment of the capitals latest visitor attraction and adds to the ambience. Because the interior of the aquarium is dark all the signs had to be illuminated and Signbox developed a new and very effective system for the purpose. This, combined with the simple and sympathetic design won two major awards for Signbox.

5. The Agfa Award to the Small Signmaker of the Year
Signs by Morrell for the Lumiere Building in Paris
The category is open to projects completed by signmakers with an annual turnover of less than £2 million. The Lumiere building "rebranding" represented by signmaking tour de force which any of the "big boys" would have been proud to call their own. Stylish and effective the scheme encompasses literally hundreds of signs.
Commended Lashings Restaurant in Antigua by Rochester Sign Projects
Restaurant sign, vehicle wraps and promotional material and in the Caribbean.

6. The Metamark Vehicle Livery of the Year
Raccoon Digital for Land Rover Defender Wrap
An outstanding project and not just because of the graphics, which were designed by Andrew Clark of Design and Pictures based in Horsham. This was the first UK wrap of a Defender 110 a vehicle which happily features lots of raised rivets and strangely shaped panels. Raccoon did an excellent job.
Commended Chapple Signs for the Abbot Ale.
Complete wrap of a single-decker coach achieved in just two days.
