Awards for Vehicle Wraps and Graphics

This year’s British Sign Awards, organised by the BSGA (British Sign and Graphics Association), features a new section for vehicle graphics and wraps.

“It’s virtually a mini awards section within the overall awards scheme and recognises the increasing importance and diversity of this sector,” said David Catanach, Director of the BSGA.  “Vehicles have been used to carry advertising and branding since the days of horse drawn brewery wagons but the modern vinyls, print technologies and application skills mean that today virtually any vehicle can be transformed, either to create a unique and distinctive look for its owner or to deliver powerful brand recognition via commercial vehicles.

“We want the awards to recognise the skills and achievements of the very best exponents of vehicle graphics and wrapping and have given our independent panel of judges the freedom to present awards as they see fit so we’d like to invite  any business that has completed outstanding vehicle projects to enter.”

“Depending on entries received, we could see awards go the Best Van Wrap, Best Sports Livery,  Best Fleet Branding,  Best Customised Car and so on.”

The awards, which are sponsored by Pyramid Display Materials, suppliers of Avery Dennison and MACtac vehicle wrap vinyls and 50 other display material brands,  are open to all UK-based businesses including sign makers and specialist wrappers.  Entry is free and closing date for receipt of entries is Friday, September 7th.   The awards will be presented at a gala awards event in Leicester on November 8th.
