Buttonfix in running for Transatlantic Growth Award

Buttonfix Limited, producer of Button-fix, the ingenious product used widely in construction trades and sign industries for fast and accurate installation of panels, has made it onto the shortlist for a prestigious export award.

One of 33 companies shortlisted across 10 award categories, Buttonfix is in the running for an award in the Micro Gold Export category, which focuses on companies with sales turnovers of less than £2m.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony, taking place in London on 15th March. Its organiser, BritishAmerican Business (BAB), has designed the event as a celebration of the successes of SMEs in growing their transatlantic business, billing it as a fantastic opportunity for all finalists to meet and network with influential BAB members – members include over 500 predominantly blue chip companies such as ExxonMobil, Barclays and UPS.

Since its launch in 2012, Button-fix has built up a phenomenal following evidenced by year-on-year sales growth, culminating in a 55 per cent jump in sales for the year ending 31 December 2017.

Manufactured in the UK, Button-fix is sold through an extensive network of UK distributors, and worldwide, sells to over 18 countries including the USA and Canada, where it is distributed by Hafele, Eccosupply and Lee Valley Tools.

Buttonix director, Tony Wills stated: “Button-fix has already gained wide-spread recognition in the UK, and we have been working hard to replicate that success elsewhere, particularly in the huge US market. What we tend to find is that once an individual discovers Button-fix and tries it out, he will typically go on to adopt it as his preferred panel fixing (coupler in the US).  So being shortlisted for this Transatlantic Growth Award provides an additional opportunity for us to obtain further exposure and to boost that rate of discovery and take-up.”
