Two hosts and a lot of famous ‘guests’ at this year’s Sign Awards

Win one of the fifteen awards on offer at this year’s British Sign Awards and you could receive your trophy from one of the famous ‘guests’ who will make an appearance at the event – it could be anyone –  from Janet Street-Porter or Kim Kardashian to Boris Johnson or Jeremy Clarkson!

Dual hosts for this year’s awards are Francine Lewis and Darren Altman, both of whom made big impressions when they appeared on BGT.

Impressionist and comedienne Francine was a huge hit on BGT with  on-line clips of her performances going viral, watched by millions worldwide. She has gone on to appear on TV shows including Loose Women, This Morning and Good Morning Britain as well as touring her own show throughout the UK.

Darren is also best known for his success on BGT, where Simon Cowell described him as ‘the best and most original act we’ve had’, but in addition to his celebrity impressions, he is also one of UK’s busiest voiceover artists providing the voices for TV commercials, documentaries and cartoons.

“We’ve managed to bring them together for the awards event and it’s going to be very different and a lot of fun,” said David Catanach, BSGA Director.  “The essence of the awards is, of course, very serious, but we want everybody who attends to have a great time and go home happy.  The unusual hosting, allied to our new venue in Leicester, should ensure a memorable event for all.”

The gala awards event, which will take place at the Athena Events Centre, located in Leicester’s cultural quarter on Thursday, November 9t,  kicks off with a reception at Noon, followed by a four course lunch and then the presentation of the awards.

The winner s of a total of 15 awards will be unveiled, including the top award for the ‘Sign of the Year’ which will be presented by lead sponsors  SignFab UK  with Current powered by GE.
